An invitation to those who care about our Sacred Sites Cathedrals, Mosques, Gurdwaras, Temples, Chapels, Synagogues, Meeting Houses and Parish Churches, or those interested in Tourism and High Quality Visitor Experience in England: Discovering Sacred Britain will be hosting a day conference about openness, information, interpretation and hospitality with artists, educationalists, tourist authorities and those who care about community cohesion. The event will be held at The Monastery, Gorton, Manchester on Thursday 18th March 2010 between 10am and 4pm.

Dates: Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 November.
Venue: The Hayes, Swanwick, Derbyshire. Planning is already underway, and confirmed speakers can be announced as follows:
- Revd Dr Inderjit Bhogal OBE, former President of the Methodist Conference,
- John Winton, National Director, Churches Tourism Network Wales,
- Dr Brian Fraser, Director, Scotland’s Churches Scheme, and
- Revd Dr Dee Dyas, Director, Christianity & Culture, Centre for Medieval Studies, York.
This event will be the premier national networking and experience-sharing opportunity for all involved in helping to extend and develop the welcome offered to people who visit places of worship, and encouraging them to explore and enjoy our faith heritage. More details will be posted in due course. |
