CTA in Coventry

Report & Presentations

A good turnout, lively and informative presentations and excellent networking! Delegates included clergy, diocesan representatives with a tourism portfolio, volunteers who look after their local church or chapel, and people from the world of conservation and heritage.

Symposium presentations can be downloaded here. (Note: list of documents extends across 3 pages - don't miss any!)

If you were there we'd like to hear your feedback - contact us here.

This year's themes were:

  • Community cohesion – Extra gains from working with others locally.
  • Multifaith heritage –  Exploring the bigger picture.
  • Opening up – enjoying the benefits, managing the risks, learning the techniques.

Our venue, the Old Blue Coat School (now the Holy Trinity Church Centre) was designed by James Murray and built in 1856-7, at which time the mid-13th century north-west tower of the medieval Priory of St Mary was re-faced and incorporated in the School building.  One of Coventry's twenty eight Grade II* Listed Buildings, the Old Blue Coat School is generally closed to the public except on Heritage Open Days.
